Flash developer required to ‘wow us’ with their creative ideas and work on a range of online projects.

We’re looking for a ‘gun’ flash developer, capable of inspiring ‘shock and awe’ in our clients. We’re talking a 10 on the Richter Scale of coolness. We want you to rock our world.

But we are seeking a professional that can go beyond ‘bells and whistles’. No ‘show ponies’ please. You need to be able to interpret a brief, understand the brand, and how that might translate online. Think big picture.

We expect that you would be someone that is thoroughly immersed in the online/digital space (eats, lives, breathes it) and be totally up–to–speed with the latest trends and technologies; what’s cool, what’s hot, what’s not.

More than anything, we’re looking for an ideas person; someone with a slightly offbeat perspective, who is interested in redefining design and challenging the status quo. We need someone who understands the rules of design, but knows how and when to break them. We don’t need you to reinvent the wheel, however if you see the opportunity to improve, enhance or innovate — go for it! Got opinions? Great! We want to hear them.

Tell us about your inspirations: manga, the Bauhaus, the Smurfs, the Olsen twins, whatever it is, we want to know. We’re listening. We care.

Your Responsibilities

  • Create various online solutions (from concept to completion)
  • Intelligently interpret and respond to client briefs
  • Develop well—structured technical documents outlining the solution
  • Work closely with August team members
  • Keep up—to—date with emerging, relevant trends

Skills Required

  • A multimedia/design background with a minimum of three years experience
  • Extensive portfolio demonstrating your creative abilities
  • Excellent Flex and Flash skills (we want you to ‘wow’ us)
  • Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills
  • Excellent understanding of SQL,HTML, CSS, Javascript and web standards
  • Experience with PHP and .NET highly regarded
  • High–level of professionalism and good communications skills
  • Passionate about design and the digital industry
