Zoë Warne wins Anthill Magazine's 2009 '30 Under 30' Awards
aug. 13 2009
For the second year running, August co-founder Zoe Warne, has taken out one of the top 30 spots in the hotly contested Anthill Magazine's 2009 '30under30' Awards, where a number of young digital entrepreneurs dominated the field.
The winners were announced on the 4th of August 2009, after a three month application and judging process, designed to encourage and promote young entrepreneurship in Australia, and create a national alumni of future leaders.
Other digital marketing entrepreneurs to make the cut include Ross Hill, who has developed a number of online projects and works part-time for Deliotte Digital's social media projects, and Adrian Bold CEO of Bold Impressions, providing digital and visual communications services, specialising in 3D.
According to Anthill Magazine editor-in-chief, James Tuckerman, this year saw a high number of digital entrepreneurs on the list. "Most members of Gen Y, also known as 'digital natives', grew up with the internet as part of their every day lives, and are perhaps better equipped to see the opportunities that digital media offers. They don't distinguish between television, radio and the internet. In their eyes, all media channels are one and the same, and this can be very liberating when trying to identify new business opportunities," says Tuckerman.
