What information do we collect?
We group the information we collect into three categories:
Information you give us
When you visit our website, we may ask you to provide information about you. We do this to enable us to respond to any request you make to us. This may include your contact details (eg email, phone number, etc) as well as personal information, such as your gender or date of birth, if it is relevant to the enquiry or request. It is our policy that we will only record your email address if you provide it to us and it will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it. We will not disclose your email or use it for any other purpose without your consent. Your email address will not be added to a mailing list – not even our own (unless you have specified otherwise).
Information we collect from you
When visiting our website, a record of your visit is made. This information is often referred to as ‘clickstream’. Clickstreams enable us to monitor which areas of our site are most frequently visited. The types of information we record include the areas of the website you visited, your IP address and your browser software.
Information from ‘cookies’
Circumstance for disclosure of your information
We will only use your personal information for the purpose for which you have provided it, or as otherwise permitted by Australian privacy legislation. We will not use your personal information for any other purpose without your consent, nor will we disclose your personal information without your consent.
From time to time it may sometimes be necessary for us to disclose your information to third parties. This disclosure will only occur in the following circumstances:
We may be required by law to disclose your personal information, where there is a court order or subpoena, or where there are investigations for any alleged unlawful activities or contraventions of the law.
Third parties and contractors
We may sometimes engage third parties (eg. other companies or contractors) to perform functions of our behalf. These may include processing of credit card information, mail-outs, debt collection, marketing and advertising. It is our policy that third parties will have access to only that personal information required by them to perform their functions. They are not permitted to use your information for any other purposes, nor are they to provide your information to third parties without your consent.
Also, in the event that we are sold to a third party, any personal information held may be transferred to a third party.
We operate a secure server and endeavours to maintain the security of our server and keep it free from unauthorised use. However, no server is guaranteed to be 100% secure and unauthorised access may occur, despite taking all reasonable steps to do so.
