Launch: Coolaroo.

Shade can be cool. That might sound obvious, but it’s something that Coolaroo is trying to make even more obvious.

Coolaroo is the third website launch in the Gale Pacific family of websites. They combine advanced outdoor fabrics with clean and considered design, to produce a protective range of shade solutions that withstand the harshest conditions. Coolaroo needed to update their online presence after refreshing their identity as part of the larger Gale Pacific revitalisation project. The new site had to convey the contemporary outdoor lifestyle the brand is known for.

Our challenge was to reflect Coolaroo’s unique personality while maintaining a common feel with the Gale Pacific website suite. Our approach included a couple of nifty ways to improve user experience and site navigation, too.

The launch of the website coincided with a major media campaign aimed at unveiling the new brand to market. There were free-to-air and subscription TV advertising spots rolled out, along with outdoor media and digital advertising.

It was important to Coolaroo that they provided people with an experience that was consistent with the campaign creative and reflective of the new brand personality.

Working with Coolaroo, we put together a DIY Hub, arming visitors with handy tips for installation, maintenance and general info. And, because everyone loves a good ‘before’ and ‘after’ story, we included an inspiration gallery in the site to help show what’s possible with Coolaroo products.

That’s not all for this project though. We’re working with Coolaroo to add more to the site in the near future. It’s all about continuing to improve the online presence of the brand and bolstering Coolaroo’s reputation as an industry innovator.

So while it might be cool at Coolaroo for the time being, things are certainly heating up.

Check out the site next time you’re in the market for some backyard shade or just have a browse around the DIY Hub – you might be inspired to tackle a weekend project just for the fun of it!
